1958 Cadillac
4.21.10

The Cadillac pics pretty much speak for themselves. I was going to
get a 1955 or 1956 Cadillac and use many of the parts from it to replace a great many
parts on this one, though you could pretty much refurbish much of it
yourself if you aren't looking for a concourse vehicle. And if you are the
kind of hearse lover I am, you just want something that looks great and
drives - so we will let the other guys shell out the big $$ for the
overpriced 100 point cars. The car is pretty much a 1958 Cadillac
Fleetwood from the cab forward and has has all of the parts except for
one of the side lights. It does need bodywork but if you are a do-it-your-selfer
like I am, you can do it all pretty much by yourself as I was going to
replace the front floor pans and bolt in and recover the seats and replace
the door cards with easy do-it-yourself kit from rodinteriors.com and this
would have been one very cool hearse again.
this was up for sale here is a Very Rare 1958 Cadillac Eureka Hearse. As you
can imagine, 1958 Cadillac these are pretty hard to come by because on a few dozen ever
existed to begin with. Enter the 70s and 80s with their crash-derbies and
guys leaving these in the snow for 50+ years and they were all just
unceremoniously sent to the crushers. and viola- you are looking at one of
the last of its kind. Look at the class and potential just oozing from this
thing! That's why I bought it... I wanted to fix this one up but I just can't
be greedy and hoard this one anymore this 1958 Cadillac can make the
perfect winter project for someone out there who also enjoys rare older
hearses.
