This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ss 396. this is no ordinary 1969 Camaro, but has the a potent l78 396 cubic inch 375 horsepower solid lifter motor. this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396. is no clone but the real deal!!! this car has the complete original #'s matching drive train!!! it also has the x22 on the trim tag which only big block cars received. the l78 motor had a single fuel line that fed the motor and this car still has it's original single fuel line still in place. the motor has a casting date of June 11, 1969, the engine build date is July 23, 1969 and the car was built in the first week of October which is dead on with where it should be. the engine casting # is 3969854 and the stamping on the front pad is t0723jh(jh means 1969 Camaro special high performance 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 . 375 horsepower 4 speed manual transmission). these heads make the car very rare as only a handful of the last l78's got the new style square port heads designed for the new ls6 motor made for 1970 Chevelle. the intake manifold casting # is 3933163 which is correct for the l78 as well as the correct distributor and the alternator. the transmission is the correct original Muncie m21 and also has a matching vin # to the car as well on the case. the original 12 bolt 3:55 posi rear has the codes c bt 09 02 (Camaro 3:55 posy build date Sept, 02,1969 and an e below the axle code for Eaton posy) stamped into the axle tube. this car was built as a total sleeper and has only a few factory options,
