Remember the Starsky and Hutch show, and the movie
The
Fast and the Furious. This type of movie and our natural love of
American cars has brought back the love of the old muscle car and many
of us love to restore them. One of the most popular cars to restore is
the Chevy
Chevelle
project car and those of us that are in the process of
restoration, or those of us that love the Chevelle know of the power of
the 2bl Carb for the 1967
.
What about the 2bl Carb for the
1967
Chevelle?
The carb used on a
1967
Chevelle were produced by
Holley Carburators;
the carbs gave this wonderful car amazing performance and very
powerful
engines. Good news for any
Chevelle fan is that they always used these carbs and they are still available for both versions, 2bl version and
the single. If you like, you can install a 2bl version on your car if
you want to improve its performances.
When you drive this car you can feel the power beneath the hood permeate
all your senses. In fact the transmission on this
Chevelle was the strongest
Project Chevrolet Chevelle made that year, there were only two versions, that were able
to handle this big LS6 engine. One was called the "rock crusher" and the
"
turbo hydromatic." Supposedly the rock crusher got its name from having
diamonds dropped in the gearbox, and it is said that the transmission
crushed the diamonds, before it ever took the gears out.
This amazing car is very powerful and managed to be one of the best
muscle cars in America. If you wish for a dream car, a car that gives
you an exquisite feeling, you should definitely
buy
Chevelle
project car.
